Many-body Quantum Dynamics

correlations across an atomic ensemble as the coupling is varied

Growth of correlations across an ensemble as the coupling terms are varied (Gopalakrishnan)

Quantum information provides a new lens to understand the dynamics of many-body systems, for example by studying how quantum information spreads in many-body systems, and how large quantum systems subjected to noise can relax. This new frontier explores how quantum information and many-body dynamics can be intertwined, both in using engineered quantum systems to explore concepts in many-body dynamics, and in using the language and framework of statistical mechanics to understand complex quantum systems.
